It's been gray this week - great for photos, not great for the mood! I wore this sequin striped top on Wednesday. I had been thinking about getting rid of it, but I got so many compliments on it, and because I found it so comfy, I've decided to keep it. I am a little sequin-crazy these days.. just ordered some more online! Stay tuned!

It's also gray... on my nails! I was inspired to paint my nails and currently the only colour I have is this lovely gray from Revlon. I don't like the consistency of the polish - it's too thick and goes on in clumps. It has already peeled off a couple of fingers (and I wore it with top and bottom coat). I'm going to try to thin it out this weekend.

Sadly, I have LOST the top of my favourite ring, the cross one pictured about! It fell off sometime today. If you see it around King's, anyone, please let me know. I'm pretty upset about it -- I love that ring!

Maybe if everyone keeps an eye out, someone will find it! Fingers crossed.

How cute are Alix's nails? Alix posted a nail how-to on her blog, The Cherry Blossom Girl, today and I love it. Perhaps I will try it if I ever actually buy more than the one nail polish I own...

Often I post an outfit on Mondays, but today guys, I'm running on empty. After a weekend of one big event and two overnight shifts, plus the freezing cold out there, I haven't managed to get out of my sweatpants in a while. I will be back once I've recovered...

I love knee-high socks. Inspired by Atlantic Pacific, here and here and especially Jane of See Jane here, I pulled out my knee socks last week. I will be doing that more! Tights under knee socks deal with the whole socks-constantly-falling-down thing.

Also, I have to thank my adorable sister for buying me this bag for Christmas. my first piece from Spotted Moth - and she wrapped it up in a weird box to trick me. Turned out we both bought one another bags in the same colour - I got hers from H&M. Sister-intuition!

Chunky Knit

I love me some chunky knits! They're great when the temperature dips and the winter get gross (like it did yesterday - what a huge snowstorm!). Though the snow has stopped today, I was left wanting something cozy. I decided to build around this yellow cardigan (the one I lusted after here) that I got for Christmas. I added another cardigan under it - a trend I am definitely a fan of.

PS: These are the boots I bought recently! Like 'em?

Retro Night

Last Friday I went out for a retro night with some friends. I dressed up, which I love to do! It took ages to scrape all the eyeliner off my eyes the next day...

I love retro nights! They always have the best music. It was the kick-off to a great weekend. I hope everyone had great weekends too!

First Day Back

This is what I wore for my first day back at school. My outfit included many new pieces - jacket, dress (as a top), and boots (which you can't see - sorry! another time). This jacket is my new favourite, a Boxing Day sale find, but it's a little cold out for it now. Luckily the sun was warm yesterday.

I guess it's really back to the real world and goodbye vacations...
